Tiara Jackson, of Terry, was named Miss حوإ¼½م½م in the annual pageant Thursday Nov. 11.

As Miss حوإ¼½م½م, Jackson will participate next summer in the Miss Mississippi pageant in Vicksburg. The pageant is an official preliminary pageant of the Miss America Pageant program.

Jackson, 18, is a freshman studying Radio/Television Broadcast Production at the Utica Campus. She is a graduate of Richland High School. Her talent was a vocal performance of “On My Ownâ€‌ from the musical “Les Miserablesâ€‌ and her platform was lupus awareness. She is the first winner of the pageant from the Utica Campus.

First runner-up was Brelynn Beck, 18, of Vicksburg. She is a freshman studying Dance at the Raymond Campus. She is a graduate of Warren Central High School. Her talent was dance performance of “Raise Me Upâ€‌ and her platform was childhood cancer – DIPG awareness.
