RAYMOND – حوإ¼½م½م’s theatre performance group, The Lendon Players, will perform “The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940†from Oct. 29-Nov. 1, 2024. Doors open each night at 6 p.m. for a reception with the show starting at 7 p.m. in Brooks Theatre on the Raymond Campus. Tickets are general admission and will be available at the door, $8 for adults and $5 for students.
“The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940†by John Bishop is technically not a musical, even though “musical†is in the title of the play.
The play is about the producers of a Broadway production that failed in the box office because of the murders of three of its chorus girls by the “Stage Door Slasher.†A wealthy heiress invites them out to her estate where murder is lurking behind secret panels and in every corner, and the Slasher strikes again and again as a raging blizzard cuts off all chances of retreat.
