ACT Scholarships
Overview
حوإ¼½م½م is proud to offer the ACT Scholarship to eligible, first-time freshmen students.

حوإ¼½م½م uses either the ACT composite score or superscore to determine eligibility for the ACT Freshman Scholarship. An ACT superscore is the average of a student’s highest sub-scores in each of the four subject areas from all of their ACT attempts. Students are encouraged to submit all official ACT scores to حوإ¼½م½م so a superscore can be calculated.
Deadline
- The deadline to qualify for and receive the ACT Freshman Scholarship is the first day of classes of your first freshman semester (excluding summer terms).
- ACT Scholarships cannot be awarded after the deadline, and an existing ACT Scholarship award cannot be increased by a higher score submitted after the deadline.
Criteria
All criteria must be met by the deadline to receive the ACT Scholarship:
- Be a first-time entering freshman, meaning حوإ¼½م½م must be the first college you attend after receiving your high school diploma or equivalency diploma. College transfers are not eligible for the ACT Freshman Scholarship.
- Submit an official ACT composite score or superscore of 20.
- Be admitted to حوإ¼½م½م as a Mississippi resident and as a U.S. resident.
- Have a standard high school diploma or equivalency diploma.
How to Apply
- Submit an Application for Admission to حوإ¼½م½م.
- Submit official ACT scores verifying a composite score or superscore of 20 or higher. Official ACT scores may be submitted to حوإ¼½م½م via an official high school transcript or sent directly to حوإ¼½م½م from National ACT.
- Establish Mississippi and U.S. residency. For students age 20 or younger: آ you must complete the “Parent Information†Action Item in your Applicant Portal as part of your residency.
- If all criteria and steps are complete by the deadline, the student will receive an award letter sent to their حوإ¼½م½م email address, as well as the email address used on the admission application.
Please note: to receive and retain this award, ACT Scholarship recipients are required to enroll in and be marked present in 15 or more credit hours each semester, complete each semester with 12 or more credit hours, and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. A cumulative GPA includes all credits earned at حوإ¼½م½م, even while dual-enrolled.
