India emerged from Fragile Five to Top Five Economy under Modi ji’s leadership: Amit Shah

New Delhi , 08 March 2024: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah addressed the annual investment summit – NXT10 of the India Global Forum in Mumbai on Wednesday. On this occasion, Shah clearly stated that ‘Under Modiji’s leadership, India has emerged from the Fragile Five to the Top Five Economy today.’

Every citizen of India knows that from 2004 to 2014, when the Sonia-Manmohan government was in power at the centre, the country’s economy was at the 11th position in the world. In the last 10 years, the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked to bring the country’s economy to the 5th position. It is certain that Modi ji will be successful in bringing the country’s economy to the third position in his third term. The condition of the country’s economy until 10 years before 2014 was deteriorating, investor confidence had eroded, but today, in the era of Amrit Kaal, the economy has become strong, and India’s self-confidence and self-reliance have also increased.

The world knows that under the leadership of visionary Modi and the guidance of Amit Shah, who practices the politics of ‘Antyodaya’ (upliftment of the last person), the central government has transformed from ‘inactive’ to ‘dynamic,’ India’s progress has shifted from ‘regressive’ to ‘progressive,’ and the economy has changed from ‘fragile’ to ‘top.’ India has now reached the Top Five Economy from the Fragile Five. The new India has emerged as a ‘Bright Spot’ from a ‘Dark Spot’ on the global map. The government of 10 years has taken more than 50 transformative decisions, including demonetization, GST, Jan Dhan, Triple Talaq, New Education Policy, CAA, Article 370 and 35A, Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, three new laws, construction of Ram Mandir, construction of new parliament building, construction of Kartarpur Corridor, control on North East, Kashmir and Left-wing Extremism, household electricity, gas, and water, free treatment up to ₹5 lakh, economic assistance to farmers, surgical strike, air strike, and many more decisions that have given India a new identity in the world.

Today, the Lok Sabha elections of 2024 are also approaching in the era of Amrit Kaal. With the achievements of the Modi government, the Chanakya of Indian politics has descended on the battlefieldfield once again to give a decisive defeat to the opposition in the electoral war. Based on the achievements of the past 10 years, the people of the country have once again decided to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister. The opposition parties also know that when Shah enters the field, the Lotus surely blooms. In any election, the factor of the formidable leader Shah of the Bharatiya Janata Party is sufficient to achieve victory.

Today, in the era of Amritkal, the Lok Sabha elections of 2024 are also approaching. In this situation, with the achievements of the Modi government once again on the battlefield, the Chanakyas of Indian politics have descended into the field to give a decisive defeat to the opposition in the electoral war. Based on the achievements of the past 10 years, the people of the country have once again decided to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister. The opposition parties also know that when Shah enters the field, the lotus surely blooms. Ghamandiya Gathbandhan’ is only for their own families, for the 130 crore citizens, it’s Modi Ji: Amit Shah

New Delhi: 06 March 2024: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah, while addressing the youth conference in Jalgaon, Maharashtra on Tuesday, made it clear that the truth of the ‘Ghamandiya Gathbandhan’ which is pretending to unite against Modi ji who is building a new India, is that whether the coalition which itself lacks democracy can establish democracy in the country. The alliance’s sole aim is that Sonia Gandhi wants to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister, Sharad Pawar’s is to make his daughter the Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray’s son is to make Aditya Thackeray the Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee’s is to make her nephew the Chief Minister, and Stalin’s is to make his son the Chief Minister. It’s evident that nothing is left for the people of the country. In this scenario, it is clear for the future of youth and a developed nation, Narendra Modi is the choice.

Shah believes that the upcoming Lok Sabha election is for the bright future of the youth and the creation of a great India. Voting for the Bharatiya Janata Party means ensuring a bright future for the youth, building a great India, and making Modi Ji the Prime Minister for the third time.

Over the past 10 years, the Modi government has undertaken unprecedented initiatives for the youth, from space exploration to semiconductor technology, digital advancements to drone technology, AI to vaccines, and 5G to fintech. The journey, from making the country the third-largest economy to establishing a space station by 2035 and sending Indian astronauts to the moon by 2040, will be completed because it is the ‘Modi Guarantee’.

As the 2024 Lok Sabha elections approach, the election activities are also increasing. Shah is gearing up to convey the message of Modi’s leadership and the BJP’s victory once again. When Shah, Chanakya of Indian politics, prepares for elections, even the opposition becomes his admirers. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah is the only leader whose election rallies attract a crowd of lakhs. In the last 10 years, under the leadership of Modi ji and the able guidance of Amit Shah, the country has travelled an unprecedented journey of progress and prosperity.

The people have seen that during Sonia-Manmohan’s government, any nobodycould enter from Pakistan to spread terror. However, when Modi Ji became Prime Minister, Pakistan got a befitting reply within 10 days. In the last 10 years, the Modi-Shah duo has not only removed Article 370 to make Kashmir an integral part of India but also abolished Triple Talaq and provided 33% reservation for women in state and national assemblies, respecting women’s power. While Modi is launching Chandrayaan on the moon, Sonia is launching Rahul for the 20th time, and Rahul is failing every time.

From the Ram Temple in Ayodhya to the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, ‘Nal se Jal’ (water for all), Ujjwala Gas Scheme, free ration for farmers, old-age pension scheme, ‘One Rank One Pension,’ COVID vaccine, and numerous welfare initiatives, it’s not wrong to say that in 2024, under Modi’s leadership, the victory of the patriotic Bharatiya Janata Party is certain.

The dream of drug-free India is coming true under the leadership of Modi ji: Amit Shah

New Delhi, 5 March 2024: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Sunday released three videos about the success of the Modi government in tackling the drug trade and its menace. Modi government is moving rapidly towards achieving the goal of drug-free India through detection of drugs in the country, destruction of networks, detention of culprits and rehabilitation of drug addicts. A drug-free India under the leadership of Modi ji and the guidance of Amit Shah is the greatest gift to the coming generations.

In the golden age of independence, under the strict approach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the able guidance of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, preparations to curb the drug trade are going on in full swing, due to this approach there is the drastic rise in the number of arrests and seizures.Due to Shah’s strong policies, through Coordination, Cooperation and Collaboration among governments and agencies, the strategy has resulted in an increased number of drug seizures and cases registered.

Under the leadership of Modi ji and the guidance of Amit Shah and the multi-pronged efforts made by the Home Ministry to curb the illicit drug trade, the quantity of narcotics seized increased by almost 100% and the cases registered against those dealing in it increased by 152%.

According to the data, during the period 2006 to 2013 the number of cases registered was 1257 in number which shot up by 3 times during 2014-2023 to 3755. The arrests increased by 4 times from 1363 in the 2006-13 period to 5745 in the 2014-23 period. The quantity of seized drugs doubled during the Modi regime to 3.95 lakh kgs from 1.52 lakh kgs seized during 2006-13. The value of seized drugs jumped 30 times during the Modi government to Rs.22,000 crore from Rs.768 crore achieved in the period 2006-13.

Due to Modi ji’s leadership and Shah’s foresight, anti-narcotics agencies did an unprecedented job of destroying 12 lakh kilograms of drugs worth Rs 12,000 crore. To realize the dream of a drug-free India the four tier NCORD mechanism was strengthened in 2019 for better cohesion and synergy between the Central and State drug law enforcement agencies.

Not only the country but the people all over the world have seen the fact that Amit Shah’s strategies are yielding results in the Modi government to build a drug-free new India.

Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) strengthens awareness on Fight Against AMR

News Hungama:

Kolkata, 2nd March 2024: With an intent to raise awareness and educate people around the condition ‘Anti-microbial resistance’ and the public health problems related to it, Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) joined hands with the nation’s leading doctors to organise a conference to share their insights on the prevailing condition in India.

Antimicrobial resistance occurs when germs like bacteria and fungi develop the ability to defeat the drugs pinned to kill them, resulting in their growth. Resistant infections can be difficult, and sometimes impossible, to treat. One of the major reasons causing this is the inappropriate usage of antimicrobials, and sometimes inadequate diagnosis. It’s imperative for healthcare providers to prescribe antimicrobials appropriately, and not get overwhelmed with insistent patients. Additionally, understanding the increasing need to prevent hospital-acquired infections that lead to such conditions is paramount. Public Private Partnership (PPP) model in the healthcare industry can possibly check the incidence of this as it helps in ensuring that the medical infrastructure is leveraged at best through optimum utilization. Raising awareness among the public on the use and abuse of antibiotics can be the first step in bringing a sustainable change in behaviour.

Calling attention to the global public health threat, that has directly killed nearly 3 lac people in India, including newborns in 2019 alone, leading doctors like Dr. S K Todi, Dr. Prakash Shastri, Dr. Subramanian Swaminathan, Dr. Sanjith Saseedharan, Dr. Dhruva Chaudhry, and Dr. Ajoy Sarkar broke the ice around the myth that antibiotics can treat everything without any side-effects.

Dr. S K Todi, Co-chairperson, Scientific Committee, Criticare, said “India has been in the frontline because of the increasing resistance to antibiotics. We are seeing patients coming from different communities with drug resistant infection. Where previously few drugs like ampicillin used to work, now they are not working. So, it’s a very grave concern where people are dying because of inappropriate usage of antibiotic dosage. And India is now looked at as the epicentre of this disease. Hence, we’ve gathered here, so we can convey this message to the audience that half of the infections are viral which do not require antibiotic. Unfortunately, we do not have a stringent regulation in our country to impede the dissemination of antibiotics without prescriptions, but the government is taking strict actions on this.”

Dr. Prakash Shastri, Critical care Specialist, Sri Gangaram Hospital, Delhi stated “It’s because of the availability of these antibiotics in the counters in India, that the proper usage of these are not taken care of. For instance, I had a mother coming into my chamber with her son who had fever, to whom I had just prescribed paracetamol. She was really not happy with my diagnosis and doubted my judgment. So, I think the patients are also very much willing to take medicines without even knowing what has happened to them. Recently it was published somewhere that water supply of Delhi has very serious bacteria which do not respond to commonly used antibiotics, and since this new and novel resistance mechanism was found in Delhi, it was named as New Delhi mechanism. But it’s not okay to name such a serious disease and blame India as the originator of it just because it’s found here. So I think again the responsibility is everyone’s at the end of the day to gain knowledge on such severe conditions and not spread word without knowing.”

Dr. Subramanian Swaminathan, Director, Infectious Disease, Gleneagles Hospital, Chennai said, “None of us take cancer, cholesterol or BP medicine because we don’t feel nice, but we have a tendency to take antibiotics if we fall minorly ill. That is the starting point which is very dangerous. Our fear of falling severely ill somehow makes us feel that by taking antibiotics for minor sickness will solve our issue, and not cause us any trouble, but it does. The key solution to such fears is knowledge. A record list states by 2050 drug resistant bacteria is going to take down more people than cancer and it is going to be a catastrophe because of the cost.  These antibiotics are designed for a purpose, and we should respect that. The starting point is to understand if at all these medications are going to cure us or is it just to put a halt to our fear. It’s time people realise that antibiotics are not the answer for every problem. Unless and until it is required, patients should be content with not having these antibiotics. And without all stakeholders working that includes the government, physicians, pharmaceuticals and most importantly the society, this issue cannot be resolved.”

Dr. Sanjith Saseedharan, Head, Critical care department, SL Raheja Hospital, Mumbai said, “Antibiotic has now become an anti-anxiety medicine. We have observed that when some parents bring their child to an outpatient clinic for general paediatric treatment, they often ask why the doctor did not prescribe an antibiotic and that is a fearful incident. I strongly feel it’s time doctors should discuss with his patients that element of risk associated with antibiotic dosage. So, I remember this a while ago, there were no antibiotics and people were dying and now we have millions of antibiotics, though no people are dying but this has occurred that we may not get any treatment left. We have gone back to a condition where even if someone falls somewhere or get their knees scratched, they will probably require a very heavy dose of antibiotic and this is what is occurring as of now, and we would have nothing to save people as time goes. After conducting a study in our hospital where we did culture of stool specimens of people who were coming for normal things like angiography, we found large number of infectious resistance organisms in those stool samples which Todi sir was referring to. This is now a community problem, and we feel this is disastrous. So, in this hall if there are 100 people, 30 of you have this mechanism that means if tomorrow if your immunity goes down it is these bacteria which might cause the problem. Yes, we are moving from an anti-biotic era to pre antibiotic era, and it looks like we have nothing to fight in this battle provided if the right measures are not adhered to.”

Dr. Dhruva Chaudhry Sr. Professor & Head, Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Pt. B. D. Sharma, PGIMS, Rohtak,  said “It’s equally important that the public must understand the severity of the issue. We get people who have running nose, or sore throat with a cough who come up saying they have had azithromycin and it is not responding. So, people should act responsibly, and they must not take antibiotics without prescription. We also need to have a behaviour which is conducive with personal health as well as the public health. This message needs to be sent out to all that the privilege in terms of the modern medicine and longevity that we have now, if we want to enjoy it fully, then we should be preserving it.”

Dr. Ajoy Sarkar, Consultant physician and Specialist in Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine, Peerless Hospital & B K Roy Research Centre, Kolkata stated “We should take antibiotics rationally, responsibly and not abuse the intake of such medicines. Before 1940, we never really had antibiotics. Alexander Fleming invented the penicillin post which the society has been drowning in antibiotics just like water in the sea. In every other corner you’ll find these antibiotics, but hardly any will work in the near future, leading us back to the pre-antibiotic era.”
