If so\, do you fancy some free counselling training\, equivalent to 14 hours of training? The course we offer is delivered in three parts. \nPart One (The Learn Phase) – 1.5 hours online \nYou will receive an introduction to counselling\, statistics pertaining to hearing loss-related mental health and an overview of why counselling support is beneficial for this group. Towards the end of this session\, we will also cover listening skills. \nPart Two (The Practice Phase) – 10 hours in person \nYou will receive an informative introduction to Humanistic Therapy\, one of the tenets of person-centred therapy. You will be guided through engaging content followed by thought-provoking questions designed to enhance your learning. You will be provided with scenarios\, and practical tips so that you can empower adults and families impacted by hearing loss. You will also get an opportunity to practice those counselling skills. \nPart Three (The Master Phase) – 2.5 hours online \nYou will now get an opportunity to present a brief case study based on your practice. This is made easy using a template we provide. All case studies are anonymised to ensure confidentiality\, but as a group we will come together online to provide feedback\, drawing on the humanistic skills we have learnt. \n  \nDATES FOR SHEFFIELD \nPart 1: March 4th at 6PM (online) \nPart 2: March 20th and 21st (in person) \nPart 3: April 15th or 16th* at 6PM (online) \n  \n* A second provisional date is provided for Part 3. For groups larger than 12\, the cohort will be divided into two so we can complete Part 3. You will have a choice of either date if you are in a group of 12 or more. You do not need to attend both dates in Part 3. \nIf you are interested\, click on the links below to find out more. If you apply before the deadline for your chosen location\, your course may be sponsored by MED-EL. \nLINK: https://beheardbymedel.com/professionals/humanistic.html URL:/event/humanistic-counselling-skills-for-professionals-who-support-families-impacted-by-hearing-loss-sheffield/ END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Europe/London:20260311T090000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/London:20260311T110000 DTSTAMP:20251104T094520 CREATED:20250923T072027Z LAST-MODIFIED:20250923T205732Z UID:39288-1773219600-1773226800@www.batod.org.uk SUMMARY:T J Audiology: BSA Certificate in Otoscopy DESCRIPTION: URL:/event/t-j-audiology-bsa-certificate-in-otoscopy-2/ ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/t-j-audiology-logo.png END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Europe/London:20260311T090000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/London:20260311T130000 DTSTAMP:20251104T094520 CREATED:20250923T071602Z LAST-MODIFIED:20250923T071602Z UID:39287-1773219600-1773234000@www.batod.org.uk SUMMARY:T J Audiology: BSA Certificate in Otoscopy and Impression Taking (Adults & Over 5's) DESCRIPTION: URL:/event/t-j-audiology-bsa-certificate-in-otoscopy-and-impression-taking-adults-over-5s/ ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/t-j-audiology-logo.png END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Europe/London:20260424T080000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/London:20260425T170000 DTSTAMP:20251104T094520 CREATED:20250328T123547Z LAST-MODIFIED:20250515T100328Z UID:37844-1777017600-1777136400@www.batod.org.uk SUMMARY:ÍćĹź˝ă˝ă's National Conference 2026 - 50th anniversary conference DESCRIPTION:Save the date: \n2026 50th anniversary conference \nFriday 24th and Saturday 25th April \nArlington Centre\, Mary Hare School\, Arlington Manor\, Snelsmore Common\, Newbury RG14 3BQ \nDetails to follow soon URL:/event/batods-national-conference-2026-50th-anniversary-conference/ LOCATION:Mary Hare School ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/logo-for-BAToD-website.png END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Europe/London:20260426T100000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/London:20260426T150000 DTSTAMP:20251104T094520 CREATED:20251028T102117Z LAST-MODIFIED:20251028T102746Z UID:39657-1777197600-1777215600@www.batod.org.uk SUMMARY:ÍćĹź˝ă˝ă NEC (Hybrid) DESCRIPTION:Contact ÍćĹź˝ă˝ă NEO for further information (exec@batod.org.uk) URL:/event/39657/ LOCATION:hybrid ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/logo-for-BAToD-website.png END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Europe/London:20260509T100000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/London:20260509T150000 DTSTAMP:20251104T094520 CREATED:20251028T164307Z LAST-MODIFIED:20251028T164307Z UID:39665-1778320800-1778338800@www.batod.org.uk SUMMARY:ÍćĹź˝ă˝ă Steering Group (online only) DESCRIPTION:Contact ÍćĹź˝ă˝ă NEO for further information (exec@batod.org.uk) URL:/event/batod-steering-group-online-only-6/ LOCATION:online ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/logo-for-BAToD-website.png END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Europe/London:20260610T080000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/London:20260612T170000 DTSTAMP:20251104T094520 CREATED:20250626T135058Z LAST-MODIFIED:20250626T135058Z UID:38594-1781078400-1781283600@www.batod.org.uk SUMMARY:Save The Date for FCEI 2026 - Shaping Tomorrow: Ideas\, Innovations and Challenges DESCRIPTION:Save The Date for FCEI 2026 \nShaping Tomorrow: Ideas\, Innovations and Challenges \n10th – 12th June 2026 \nBad Ischl\, Austria \n“The 7th International Conference on Family Centred Early Intervention for Children Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing \nThis biennial event draws over 300 participants including Hearing and Deaf (DHH) professionals and parent leaders from countries worldwide who are stakeholders engaged in research and evidence-informed ways to optimize the potential of every DHH child and family. Shaping Tomorrow: Ideas\, Innovations\, and Challenges is the 2026 conference theme.
