“I’m interested in welding because I like the hands-on feeling of it, plus I just can’t sit still anyway,” said Jackson Fortenberry, a senior at St. Aloysius High School, among — high school juniors and seniors who attended the annual recruiting event. Schools in attendance included Vicksburg High School, Warren Central High School, St. Aloysius High School, Porters Chapel Academy and River City Early College High School.
For several students, a recent project on the high school spurred an interest in potential careers.
“I did a project on computers and engineering recently, so I’m pretty interested in finding out more about it,” said Willie Rogers, a senior at Porters Chapel Academy.

Madison Combs, a PCA senior, chatted with faculty about her desire to help turn her closeness to the medical field into a career. “My dad is a nurse anesthetist and I want to help people with my skills,” Combs said.
